Børre Andreas Opedal Lunde
Combining programming, mechanical design, and electronics
About Me
I'm a passionate programmer and technology enthusiast from Bergen, Norway. With a background in computer electronics and a deep interest in software development, I've built skills across various programming languages and technologies.
I believe in continuous learning and challenging myself with new projects that push my boundaries. My technical expertise spans programming, mechanical design, and electronics — allowing me to approach problems from multiple perspectives and create combined solutions.
When I'm not coding, I explore Norwegian landscapes with my camera, read up on history, study languages, or enjoy a game of chess.
Skills
An overview of my technical capabilities across multiple disciplines.
Highlighted skills indicate areas of proficiency.
Programming
Comfortable with both low-level and high-level programming. I use object-oriented and functional styles, apply design patterns, and follow good practices for maintainable code. My experience spans server, embedded, and user applications, with some web and database development.

Mechanical Design
I have experience in 3D modelling and technical drawing for oceanographic applications, including enclosures, electrical connectors, moulds, and testing equipment. I prototype using 3D printing, perform static stress analysis, and carry out real-world testing. I also prepare manufacturing orders and conduct quality control.
Capabilities

Electronics
Designing and assembling electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs), focusing on embedded systems and hands-on testing. I practice electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety and use instrumentation such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Nature & Hiking
I've been drawn to nature since I was little, especially hiking in the mountains. The beauty and quiet help me unwind.

Landscape Photography
I like to capture the beauty of what's around me. An interest that goes hand in hand with nature and hiking.
Geography
Fascinated by countries, rivers, mountains, and other features. I enjoy learning about regions to see how geography shapes civilizations.
Languages
Learning languages and exploring their history and origins. I like trying to understand their historical connections.
Chess
Playing and studying the game, learning from masters and improving one step at a time.

History
My curiosity covers many eras, with a special interest in ancient civilizations like the Greeks and Romans, and the castles and cathedrals of the Middle Ages.

Music
Although I no longer actively play the cello, it played a significant role in my childhood. I began learning at the age of five and continued for nine years. Before I stopped, I also tried my hand at guitar and drums for a few years, but the cello remained the instrument I was most passionate about. While I no longer perform, I enjoy listening to music — from classical and folk to rock and blues.
